"True" Cracks the Top 10 Adult Contemporary List

After peaking at No. 4 on Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 chart and No. 18 on the Hot 100 in January and No. 13 at Adult Top 40 one month later, Ryan Cabrera’s “True” (Atlantic) cracks the top 10 (11-10) at Adult Contemporary in its 22nd chart week. It is the longest path to that portion of the chart by a male artist.

Whitehall Prom Rocks to Pop Star

Ashley Stokes had a one-of-a-kind prom Saturday night, and singing sensation Ryan Cabrera saw what he missed when he had to skip his prom four years ago to play a concert.

Cabrera played at the Whitehall High School prom at the Days Inn and Conference Center in South Whitehall Township because Stokes, 18, entered and won a “Rock Your Prom” contest sponsored by the department store J.C. Penney Inc. and Seventeen magazine.

Picked at random from 65,000 entries from 1,100 J.C. Penney stores nationwide, Stokes was shocked to find out at a school assembly May 3 that her entry had been chosen. It’s the only prom concert Cabrera is playing this year.

Stokes and Cabrera met for the first time at a before-prom news conference at the hotel where he said he planned to make friends at the prom and hoped to stage a “dance-off.”

“It’s going to be nuts,” he said.

Stokes, an aspiring actress, asked Cabrera if he could help her break into the big time.

“I got some peeps,” Cabrera, 22, said, referring to his professional contacts. “I will hook you up.” Read on...

Ryan Contributes a New Song to the “Fantastic Four” Movie Soundtrack

Velvet Revolver, Chingy, Taking Back Sunday, Joss Stone, Ryan Cabrera, and many others have contributed new songs to the “Fantastic Four” soundtrack.

“Fantastic Four” stars Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis, Ioan Gruffudd and Chris Evans as the extraordinary characters in the enduring Marvel Comics series. The movie opens July 8 in U.S. theaters.

Ryan contributes a track titled “Always Come Back To Me” to “Fantastic Four – The Album”, which hits stores July 5th.
